How to get a dollar card in Malaysia
Updated: 2026-09-27
Malaysian cards work abroad more often than not. Where they stop is narrower:
services that bill in dollars and check the issuing country, ad platforms, and
anything that trips a foreign-transaction rule on the local card.
What a dollar card adds
| Situation | Local card | Dollar card |
| Foreign subscription in USD | usually works, with conversion | works, balance already in USD |
| Ad account billed in USD | country checks can flag it | passes more often |
| Paying from a USDT balance | not possible | direct |
| Cash at an ATM | yes | no |
If your local card already works for everything you pay, you do not need this.
It exists for the cases where it does not.
The card
alt.vu is a dollar balance with a virtual Visa Platinum card. Top it up with
USDT or USDC on TRON, BNB Chain, Polygon or TON, and spend in US dollars
anywhere Visa works online. Issuing costs $25 once, there is no monthly fee,
and we add 1% on top of each purchase. Sign-up takes about two minutes and
identity is verified with a passport.
The card is virtual only and does not work inside Russia.
